Woman Stabbed to Death at University in Beijing

A woman has died after being stabbed at a school hall at the Central University of Finance and Economics in Beijing. The attacker committed suicide shortly after the incident.

China’s CCTV news reports that a stabbing took place at the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in Beijing on June 20. A man reportedly stabbed a woman before killing himself. The woman did not survive.

The incident occurred at a school building’s main hall at the CUFE campus around 17.00 on Tuesday. The case is currently under investigation.

According to some netizens, the Central University of Finance and Economics generally has tight security and does not allow people to enter the campus area without a pass. The University is one of China’s best economics-oriented universities.
