A Weibo netizen from the Chinese province of Liaoning recently exposed how two men drove bumper cars in the middle of a street in Shenyang, Liaoning’s capital.
According to the young woman, she spotted the two men in the early morning of October 15. The two men were street racing in the city’s Heping district with a green and yellow dashing car.
The pictures were reposted by the social media account of City Bulletin (@都市快报), which reported that although the men were driving around in bumper cars (‘pèngpèngchē‘ 碰碰车), they did comply with traffic rules and stopped for traffic lights.
The Chinese media account did not seem to find the situation very humourful, writing: “This is not a motor vehicle. You should always stay inside the park with bumper cars. This is dangerous.”
Many netizens, however, do find the two men funny. “I want to try this, too!”, one netizen comments. Some netizens wonder how it is possible for the bumper cars to drive without an electric floor or pole on the back of the car carrying electricity.
There are, however, also gasoline or battery-powered bumper cars.
Some Chinese netizens are envious of the two men. “I have been dreaming of this since I was a little kid,” one Weibo user writes.
